8 Steps to Building Your Home
Custom Client Portal Orientation
Estimated time: 1-2 hours
You get access to a custom-designed, one-stop location for everything to do with your new home. Here, you can look at the current budget, project schedule, pictures of your home, and your selections, and get ahold of anyone you need to speak to regarding your new home.
Breaking Ground
Estimated time: 1 hour
Where the excitement begins — the first tangible step in making your dream home a reality.
Start Making Selections
Estimated time: 1-2 months
It’s time to go to the venders and pick all the pretty things. Anything you feel you need or want for your new home.
Rough-In Walk Through
Estimated time: 2-3 hours
We all walk through your home after framing is complete and discuss the desired layout of all fixtures for plumbing, lighting, heat, and air.
Rough-In 3D Home Scan
After framing, plumbing, and electrical are complete, we will take a 3D scan of your home using the Matterport® camera and program. Matterport® is a high quality, 3D camera used to create an immersive, interactive tour of your home. This tour can be utilized to locate pipes and wires behind the walls to simplify and “during construction” changes or future remodel projects. It’s also just fun to see the progression of your house captured in this way.
Finish Trim Walk Through
Estimated time: 2-3 hours
We will meet inside your home after sheetrocking is complete and discuss anything wood and trim related, such as fireplace mantels, bookshelves, mud benches, accent walls, etc.
New Home Introduction
Estimated time: 1-2 hours
It’s finally time to walk through your mostly complete home and talk about how the different systems function — ultimately, you get to just take it all in! We will also take this time to identify any remaining punch list items.
Closing
Estimated time: 1 hour
